The whites are often available and I've seen them in stores repeatedly, I've never seen a blue in store, and IMO its far nicer.

If it's your first Nautilus, then no question, it's the 5711. The dial is simply mesmerizing.

If you already have a blue dial Nautilus (5711, 5712 etc), then an additional Nautilus with a white dial makes sense as it's sportier.

The 5711 though is a true classic, and will maintain it's value, plus you'll be unlikely to ever tire of it.

I think the blue dial is iconic. I've seen white in store, but never the blue.

Blue would be my choice. It's at the very top of my wish list. A perfect watch, IMO.

I like the white a lot, its sportier than the blue and I enjoy wearing it more. That being said, the blue dial is worth more. So if you can buy either at the same price you have to really prefer the white dial

The blue dial is not only iconic ... it's more desirable and takes on different hues depending on lighting. Here's a photo

Decided to get the white now.

If blue happens in September, good problem to have.

Thanks for inputs.

Blue resells for higher and I agree it is more iconic, but I happen to like the white a lot. If I was to buy one and didn't care about resale, I would go white.

Ahhh the blue dial 5711 is my grail watch. Thought I had finally put it out of my mind. Now I'm pondering how long I would have to eat Ramen noodles for dinner to save up the $30,000 for one...

If you buy the blue you can wear it and always sell it USED for as much or more than you paid. With the white, when you go to sell it new or used it will not sell for retail. If you paid retail you paid too much and if you decide to sell it you will be taking a hit.

For some reason, can't seem to charge the lume. Or does the white have no lume?

Is retail price same as AD price?
