I've been toying with one of these for my son as a present and his first introduction to the world of watches as i thought it might be nice for him to have a Tag Heuer

You absolutely should! Great watches, I just have too many (15 of these F1s) and I need to have less. I was going to collect them all and then changed my mind.

Yours?!

Yes, not selling for a friend. You should get the blue one, eh?

It is tempting if i am honest as i'd like him to have a nice watch that he could keep as they both like my watches and the F1's seem to fit the bill. I've not spent any time looking into the F1's as they've not been on my radar until today

These 1st generation F1s were produced from 1987 until 1996, here's a link to a page on my blog which should help.

Perfect first introduction to the luxury watch world, and mine are in very good condition.

Oh man, yeah I know... but rest assured the money that comes in will be spent on more TAGs, just not Formula 1s.

Got a bid on the black and yellow one! 😎
Twas me!!
Just recently started buying THs and I bought the black and yellow one (relisted?)- smaller than expected ( oh my how watch sizes have changed over the last 40 years!!) but put an orange and black nato strap on and it looks like a full on rave-wear watch now - bit of classy fun .
.....and discovered this forum via Calibre11.com /Omega forums and this is my first post - hola!!
