flyback reset on Cal 285 Uni Compax not zeroing

I have a Uni-Compax cal 285 that I just got. the first few times i reset the the stopwatch my second hand hit right back at zero.

Couple resets later (playing with it 😀 ) now it's reseting at +2 seconds. Is there any way to reset this using the pushers / crown position or will this need to be serviced?

Unlike a quartz chronograph, this can only be adjusted by a watchmaker. It could be that the hand is loose and has moved on its post or it could be that something is worn. If it has been serviced in the past few years then it may just be a matter of re-setting the position of the hand, if not, a full service is needed if you want to carry on wearing it.
