Finally a tricompax in the bag

I've always been a fan of the tricompaxes from UG. Love both them all but I have always leaned towards the later ones. Can't say why for sure. Maybe they have a more contemporary flavour. Maybe the earlier ones usually come with blemished dials. Just can't put a finger to it.
Anyhow, David aka Modest Proposal, put up this on the sale forum. Altough the watch fund needed replenishing, the temptation was too great. It arrived last week after and I was awed. Never had a small chronograph and although it is smaller than the Zeniths or Speedie, it still has a presence on the wrist which I have not expected. So I am glad I am able to land this one. Thanks again David. I should do less talking and more showing. Hope you enjoy the pics.

Symmetrical dial.

Cal 281.

Love the UG shield on the crystal.

Thanks for looking.

You'll see it Saturday. And that's too big a compliment. I am just a beginner. Many others ahead of me.

Nice! I didn't even notice the UG crystal signature.

A lot of brands did them. I have a couple Eternas with the 5 ball bearing symbol in the middle.

Great example Gavin

Gavin does have that effect sometimes, doesn't he...

the dude is a watch acquisition ninja. One moment you are admiring the fine details of a dial close up...and the next you are staring at your own empty fingers...and you saw and heard nothing!
