Has anyone else had a problem with a badly faded bezel on a Seamaster pro 300, mine went very faint within a couple of years and that was not through excessive sunlight or diving etc, just everyday use in London.

Do you have a photo of it?

I haven't seen any that show really bad fading.

I will take one later today and post it. I also had the second hand replaced as the red faded to orange. I took it back to Mappin and Webb but as it was a couple of years old by then it was apparently out of warranty

The colourchanging hands is actually something that collectors like, I know what you mean, Trev's Seamaster Chrono Diver hands have faded almost to white, but because its a natural thing that happens with them, its not considered to hurt value, but rather serves as proof of its originality.

The red tip on my second hand lost its colour turned white, and the blue bezel did fade over the years. Mine was bought in 2000.
