As we all know, 2020 is Formula 1’s 70th Anniversary! I created a different thread to highlight Formula 1’s historic achievement rather than just add & follow the 2020 F1 discussion, as it is mainly for the 2020 F1 race season 😀

How i wish TAG Heuer, being a historic and integral part of F1 releases something to commemorate this year other than a Red Bull or a Max Verstappen TH chrono 😉

In this photo, you can clearly see how many of this F1 champions wore Heuer / TAG Heuer at one time during their “Carrera” 😎 All time greats!

Probably a great suggestion if we can make a collage of pictures of all these F1 champions, wearing a Heuer / TAG Heuer watch or sporting a logo to highlight TH’s immense & historic involvement in F1 (even on previous or non winning years) ::rimshot::

Numbers can lie. I'm guessing the only reason Hamilton beat Fangio on "Races in the points" is because points positions increased from top 6 in the race to top 10.

If you mean that points scoring was different from Fangio vs Hamilton’s era, i’d absolutely agree with you and that Fangio should be on top of Hamilton. That said, Fangio actually won all categories statistically! Isn’t that right? 😉

Sort of. I mean "races in the points" will only include number of top 6 positions for Fangio but number of top 10 positions for Hamilton, because you used not to get any championship points below 6th place. So not a fair comparison (from Fangio's point of view). Of course, I havent done the maths to see if the outcome would be different if you just used top 6 finishes (or top 10) for both.

Given the relationship of Ferrari and Heuer way back in the 70s? Of these Ferrari champions & drivers? How many and who among them wore Heuer / TAG Heuer watches? 😉

How does Piquet get to be a triple world champion and NOBODY ever talks about him. It's bizarre...

Wow, it really puts Fangio on a pedestal.

Piquet's history is fantastic. His hability to set up a racing car is legendary. He was a mechanic in Brasilia, Brazil's projected capital, with large and deserted streets in the 60's and 70's, where he tested the cars he used to tune. The team he worked made another excellent drivers, among them Roberto Moreno and Alex Dias Ribeiro.

Almost all have worn Heuer or TAG Heuer at one time or another, but not necessarily as a Ferrari driver.
However I'm not sure of the following, who might have not: Ascari, Surtees, Hawthorn, Massa & Barrichello

Yep! That’s a Positive 👍 Hope he gets well soon! And back at track, or Vettel will take up his seat 😗
