Experience with Omega service

I want to share my Omega service experience. My Dynamic III (5240.50) stopped working a few month ago. I contacted a reputable North West watchmaker and was quoted $950 for a full service plus parts. Since Omega quoted me $900 for full service, I went with Omega. Below is the timeline:
6/20/25: dropped off at Secaucus center
6/23/25: received estimate ($600 (not $900) for a complete maintenance service + tax+$25 return shipping). Estimated date of completion: 08/29/2025
7/04/25: parts received
8/28/25: service completed
9/02/25: returned to me. Shipped by UPS, signature required and cannot be held at UPS center.
Thoughts: Watch has been pressure tested. Most of the light scratches were polished to like new condition. Old seal, pushers and spring bars were turned. I am not sure what exactly has been done with the modular movement. For $650, I am happy with the service.

Pretty sure they swap out the movement on these.

You were lucky to get it done that cheap. The standard chronograph cost as stated on the website it higher. More like what you were originally quoted in fact. I didn't realise at first yours was the chronograph. As noted above, they routinely swap out the whole movement when they service these.

That's a nice pleasant surprise on the service cost.
