They are not readily available, but do pop up for sale every now and then. I bought a NOS spare ETA 251.252 movement a few months ago.

Thanks for the feedback. Anywhere particular worth looking apart from eBay? What is your NOS? Price?

Mine is not for sale. I'm keeping it as a spare, since I own four S/EL ana-digi chronos. After looking for about a year, I finally negotiated a NOS one down to 110 CHF. Most new ones that I've seen are pretty expensive, to where you could buy a used S/EL for the same as their asking prices. Used ones are cheaper, but you know the old saying "you get what you pay for".

As for other places to look other than eBay, you can try Ricardo. There's a used one for sale there: https://www.ricardo.ch/en/a/eta-251252-uhrwerk-1256705274/

Thanks again. My watch has a small fault in the date display. As replacing the movement to correct this is likely to cost rather more than the watch is worth!! I think I will just live with the defect. But I will still look out for a movement. Thanks again for the feedback.

The LCDs on the 251.251/252 can be replaced (still requires removing hands & dial) - but finding the LCDs by themselves is a lot harder. You may be able to pick up a movement with one faulty LCD for cheaper, and pull the working one.

251.265 LCDs should also fit but have yet to confirm. 251.265 movements should be easier to find, too.

Many thanks. I do not have the expertise apparently available on the forum to work on the watch myself ! I will continue to look for a movement and see what come up.
