One of the things you have to love about "quality" high end stores in Beverly Hills is that, as long as you don't act like a jerk, they will treat you like a customer regardless of appearance. And if they know you have money, they'll still treat you like a customer. I was wandering around Via Rodeo dressed...let's just say I wasn't wearing my Sunday Best. Anyway, I'm looking in the window of the Breguet store, not intending on entering, but the guard opened the door and invited me in, and a few sales associates came up and started chatting with me. I told them I liked their watches but wasn't in the market for one. They still offered to let me try one on, etc. I doubt the same thing would have happened in NYC or Chicago, but in LA, you could be a screenwriter who just sold a seven figure script.
