On a local watchforum there is an option to ignore users but it comes with limitations;

Ignored users starting threads will not hide the full thread, just their posts.

When other users reply to the ignored users the OP they are quoting is invisible so no context:

It's not serious enough for someone to be warned, suspended, or banned. But there are a couple of members who don't seem to contribute anything positive, and in a perfect world I'd click ignore and never have to waste my time with their posts again. Which is something I'm able to do on WUS.

Not a big deal though. I'll survive. 🙂
