Yes, it is plastic band. Mark on it? Brevete

If its not cut you find the brevete nr on the end of the band whitout buckle.
Its not normal plastic and its from early to mid 40s its rarer then the watch.
They come on early waterproof watches.

I did not find the number, but only the inscription "PROTEXO + PATENT + SWISS MADE". What would that mean? Could someone explain the inscription on the buckle?

The bands i have are not branded protexo only brevet and nr.
The bands i have were deliverd to Swedish market in early 40s. Many years ago I found a tray full whit Nivada nos waterproof watches delivered to Sweden 1941 whit this bands.
I would like to know whitch material it is.

My most recent marvin. A tyre with provenance. Since I'm only the third owner I know the Story of the first owner (which makes it interesting.) Mister Van de Calseyde owned a business in the car industry, was a car enthousiast and most interestingly he was sovereign grand commander of the Scottish rite in Belgium.

I have an interesting Marvin, that I cannot really put into any "box", i.e. pilot, dress? I'm considering putting a conical crown on it though...
The condition and all are a shame, but it has its charm to me.

Diameter (w/o crown) 38mm
