Disappointed with Omega QC and Swatch Group Support - Misaligned Hand Brushed Off

I’m gonna say, misalignment of the chrono hand like this would bother me. I’ve had it before with a vintage Speedmaster after service and I sent it back for adjustment. If I had it on a new watch I’d also send it back to try and get it adjusted. But that’s it. I wouldn’t sell it.

Trolling? Oh absolutely. I bought a multi-thousand-dollar Omega just to come here and stir up the chrono hand alignment community. You caught me.

In all seriousness though—if pointing out that a chronograph hand on a luxury timepiece isn’t aligned properly is enough to trigger cries of trolling, maybe the bar for quality has gotten a bit too flexible.

Imagine expecting precision from a company that literally sells precision as its brand identity. Wild, I know.
You are pretty good at it, actually. 👍

Question: What generally causes the misalignment of a watch hand in this particular situation and is the "adjustment" complicated?

When the hand is pressed on it’s not completely centred on 12.

Thank you ...I thought it might be a more complicated issue.

OP probably doesn't know rolexforums.com has an Omega section. He could make it three. Missed opportunity.

Oh pity. Bye. Enjoy your Timex.
“Enjoy your Timex.” That’s the depth of your response? I post a factual account of a QC issue on a $7,800 watch, and your comeback is… playground-level sarcasm? Impressive.

I didn’t trash the brand. I didn’t cry for a refund. I pointed out an issue that shouldn’t exist at this price point—and the fact that this somehow offends you says everything about the fragility some people bring into this hobby.

If your ego is so wrapped up in a logo on your wrist that any criticism feels like a personal attack, maybe it’s not the watch you’re defending—it’s your own insecurity.

But sure, keep gatekeeping the community like you're on Omega’s payroll. The rest of us will keep expecting better, and calling it out when we don’t get it.

The fragility I see is you posting on this topic on two different forums repeatedly arguing your case. Frequently lacing your text with bolded sentences. As if that will give them more weight. The fragility you see is you projecting.

Nice hobby you’ve got - policing other people’s formatting like it’s occupational therapy. If your day revolves around nitpicking bold text and tallying my posts across forums, congratulations: you’ve achieved peak forum janitor energy.

Here’s the deal: I posted a clear, factual issue about a watch. You decided to play grammar cop. That doesn’t make you clever or authoritative - it makes you small. Tiny priorities, tiny takes.

If you want to feel important, try offering an actual argument or evidence instead of posture and policing. Until then, enjoy standing on your soapbox; from where I’m sitting it just looks really, really little.

I suspect this isn't the only thing in life you're disgruntled about.

Nitpicking! That’s the word I was looking for! Do you know what the word means?

“Nitpicking,” huh? Wow, I didn’t realize holding a luxury watch to basic quality standards was now a crime. Next thing you’ll tell me wanting my coffee hot is just me being “temperamental.”

But hey, keep that word handy—it’s great for shutting down anyone who expects more than “good enough.” Bravo.

If you are talking about the alignment of the chrono hand then I can only imagine that you are trolling us.
I think his user name lends credence to your point about trolling.

And like I said, he's actually pretty good at it. We're almost to page 3 on this silly tired topic.
