Hi OF,

Over the past 12 months, I've been researching and collecting vintage Omega's (mainly Seamaster).
Today I picked up the below:
Doxa 300T Sharkuner US Divers Co. from the 1970?

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is pretty special?

Looks good. These are definitely on the list of classic vintage divers. It’s nice that yours has the correct bracelet and crown. I have the exact same synchron era us divers dial, but it’s a searambler.

judging by the condition of the gasket the watch has not been serviced in a long time. If ever.

I'm hoping the ETA caliber is an easy service for my watchmaker.
Any recommendations for souring that thick gasket?

Leave it to your watchmaker.

Yes, and I showed her the Doxa last night and she cringed! lol

My wife doesn't like mine either.

I would have expected an ETA 2472 inside, but yours doesn't seem to have that. Anyway, the case back gaskets are unusually thick on these, and I do recall having to do a fair bit of searching to actually find some that fit, but it's been a long time since I've serviced one of these watches.

Doxa used to be fairly supportive in selling parts, but abruptly stopped that a few years ago. They were never a lot of help for the vintage watches, but modern parts were not a problem, but that changed so I rarely service these anymore.

very cool, do you know how many of these exist?
No sir. According to a few old-timers all watches we're returned to the JDF at the end of service.
