Considering a Seiko Prospex Samurai Blue Lagoon

Hi Omega fans, I have the opportunity to get the limited edition Samurai "Blue Lagoon" from a AD for $300.

Aside from pulling $300 out of my Speedy savings jar, is there any other reason NOT to pull the trigger on this?

You could take $600 out of the speedy fund for this and not regret it. Great watch, incredible value for your money. (Same goes for the SRP line)

At $300 from an AD it's a bargain. Buy it and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the input, gang. Good catch @STANDY, that "seizing" was a typo...the unfortunate result of beer fingers and autocorrect.

I have often be tempted to buy something while saving or looking for a particular watch, but 300 dollars is still another 300 dollars you have to save up. If it were me, I would aim for the Speedie first and get anything else later, especially if the speedie is a watch you covert most.

At that price you have to buy it. I've been looking at one in the UK for just under 拢400 and thought that was good value. Go for it!

I have a Turtle in the colour and would love the samurai as well. That price is an absolute steal and these are both great beater watches.

I love the samurai, it will hold off the withdrawal for a while.

This isn't the blue lagoon but here are some pictures to tempt you.

Overall the build quality is good and I don't regret spending my money on this, but this was actually purchased just after I got my speedy. The seiko gets way more wrist time due to my job, don't feel like abusing a speedy....

Posting pictures like that up only makes me want to order a Pepsi bezel one to go with the blue one!

I'm trying to save for a Speedy Mark II don't you know!!! [emoji15]

I love mine, put it on an Omega nato cause I haven't found a bracelet I like yet... Overall a great watch, excellent build quality and great variances in shades of blue. Included a lume shot as well!

You promise a lume shot and then give us five 馃槈. Now I get to try and guess the others based on pics I've seen your other posts. Being delayed at work right now, so just the perfect game to pass the time 馃榿.

I like that one as well, especially the waffle dial. Looks sharp on that NATO strap too.

Beautiful watch. I was cruising the "net" the other day and spent way too much time reading about it.
A keeper for sure!

@argonbeam good luck. I am interested to see what you come up with.
Clockwise starting upper left - Shinola with lumed arabic hour markers? Not too many lumed arabic hour marker watches out there. Plus it's HUGE next to the Samurai next to it - great strap on the Samurai BTW. Has to be a Tudor next unless somebody else has the chutzpah to use that hour hand, then another Seiko, probably SKX007 because that lume pattern looks just like mine. Then I ran out of steam and had to get back to work, so not sure what the lower left is, but assuming it's modern because looks like a big case.

I also note the Seiko and Tudor lume appreciably brighter than the other two.
Keep the cool pics coming.
