Condensation under glass...

Just bought this Seamaster and I set the time, and then a few minutes later I noticed condensation began to form on the crystal, dial and hands. Is there any way to get rid of this? The seals have to get checked...馃槙

Throw it in the clothes dryer on high. Don't mind the banging around - the dings will polish out. 馃榿

I guess you could pull the crown and leave it in a dry area. Don't know for sure how to combat that.

Yeah...I stuck it in a bag of rice with the crown open. It's a nice watch, the dial hasn't aged too much and I want to keep it like that!

Very bad advice! Set your kitchen oven to 475F, bake for 20 minutes, turn, bake another 10 minutes. Cool on cookie rack before wearing. 馃榿馃榿

obviously this will require more than an open crown --- have you tried letting it sit in dry location with the back case removed?

Try using a blowdryer. Blow around the watch crystal.

Ooooo, that's no good. You'll have to deduct $200 off the price when you sell it to me. 馃槻馃榿

Yes, it is good looking. How does it fit with the extra lug length?

It fits well! You can see little droplets have formed on the dial..hopefully I can get my watchmaker to get the watch dry tomorrow.

You could try those silica dry-packs. Leave the watch sitting (open case-back) in a ziplock bag with the silica.

That use to happen to my SMf300. I used the rice method except I placed it in a medium sized Tupperware container and buried the watch inside with the crown pulled out. Then covered the container and left if overnight. The condensation never came back afterwards. Might be worth trying if you haven't already. Anyhow, I hope you get the issue resolved one way or another. Good luck with it

I wanna see that in person under a loupe. Let's continue this as part of our e-mail chat that was about those eBay straps.
