Hello all,

I came across this cal. 285 compax with a telemetre dial recently, and was hoping to gain your thoughts on whether it merits any further consideration. While I've seen very few telemetre dials on a Compax, one of Hodinkee's recent instagram posts featured just such a watch, albeit a much cleaner example with a case design that I recognised, and this triggered my interest in this watch.

The seller claims that the dial is original and the case is 34mm.

Obviously the dial has seen better days, and the crown looks to be non-original and I was unsure on the case - maybe over-polished?

Thanks!

It has seen cleaner days, but looks correct. Tough to say much about the case with you pictures. Crown is likely replaced as you mentioned.

The telemetre dial is a known, though uncommon, design in the Universal cannon.

Do note that the movement looks like it will need some work (and require some parts)... even from here.
