I came to this:

My conclusion: 'accepted' range is 717-808k so around 1940.
This is amazing info. I’m still digesting it.

Thanks checking this, I was going to ask but you beat me to it.

A few other questions…

1) can you do a reverse check working off dials instead of calibers? Meaning can you poll all the compax 30 and Compur 30 dials and give us a breakdown of calibers used? @martinc already provided an example of a compax 30 with a cal 381 in the other thread, and stated that cal 385 was also used (but I’m not sure we saw that example posted).

2) can you deduce any information about case serials and dates working off the cal 386 movements (and/or 381, 385) or by working off the compax 30 and Compur 30 dials ?

Thx
Hello all!
Sorry, I wasn´t checking the OF for some time...

Regarding cal. 381 - it seems to be the equivalent of 281, so it´s in 222xx references (marked Compur 30 or Compax 30 - I personally have a 22207 Compur 30 and two 22213 Compaxes 30).
Regarding cal. 385 - I have that movement in a pair of 5175 reference watches, both the movements are signed "Uweco". One of the watches has also Uweco marked dial and case, the other has a UG Compur dial, but I think the dial is not original to the watch (I purchased it as a parts watch time ago).
My watchmaker didn´t say anything about differences between cal. 385 and 386, I will ask him if he remembers any differences between these and the 285/287.

Apart from this, I have in my collection a pair of Compax 30s which both have caliber 285 movements and I don´t think either of them has dial (or movement) replaced.
