Choice of brand-new Certina DS-2 Precidrive vs. pre-owned Omega Seamaster

Which is the better investment for wearing casually, longevity, time-keeping, medium shock-resistance, and looking good with? And why?

I realise this is an Omega forum, but perhaps y'all can be objective 馃榿

Option C) Brand-new quartz Certina DS-2 Precidrive for 拢500-600 with latest technologies

Option 惟) Any pre-owned, good-condition Omega Seamaster (non-chrono models after GoldenEye preferably) from eBay for about 拢800-1000
I'm inclined to spend less money here as it's my first real watch, but I appreciate that Omega is something to pay for? Or if it's used since about the 2000s, then maybe getting something new and still decent will last longer?

Any facts you can give me will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks for the quick reply.

Why is that? 馃榾

Why is an automatic better at retaining value than quartz? I'd answer that, but then I'd be accused of going on a crusade against battery powered assaults on horology. 馃榿

Actually, I found a few Seamaster's with quartz, and given that I wouldn't have to adjust them as much: would be more inclined to them 馃槣

Certina have a few automatic models that are nice too, if that's what you're saying this largely comes down to?
