Just got this 😊 ...

... and it should be serviced.

Because it's manual, I know that at least some Authorised Repairers will not take it.

Does anyone know of one that does?

Or will need to go to TAG?

TAG did mine. But most experienced watchmakers would be able to work on this manual movement I suspect.

I’m sure you’re right about being able to service the watch. However I think the problem is getting hold of replacement parts.

I posted because one of the independent’TAG’ service companies declined to take it. Said it had to go back to TAG.

Hi, long time lurker, first time poster here. I have one of these watches so I thought I'd chime in. Personally, I've just sent mine into TAG for servicing. It has only needed one movement overhaul in its 20+ year life (mainspring broke), so they are pretty bullet proof. Just FYI - the movement in this watch is fairly common. The Lemania 1873 is also known as the Omega 1861. It's just finished slightly differently for Omega. It was used in the Speedmaster Professional for close to 50 years. Enjoy your re-edition. It's one of my favourites.

I see. I'd already noticed that the minute sub-dial jumped in the same way that the Speedmaster Professional does.

Because of my size and because I like my watches to be low-key, they all have a dial 36mm or larger and a lug to lug of 45mm or less.

So this is right where it needs to be in that sense. Throw the classic design, solid movement and pedigree into the mix, it's a really nice watch.

Will stay in the family for a long time.
