Always hard to know when the photos are so poor...and yes, that in itself can be an obvious red flag.
I have to say that the watch itself looks pretty good. I can't see any standout features that make this an obvious replica- even the movement appears correct.
In fact, the only thing that doesn't look right to me is the warranty card. The address on the card is TAG Heuer's Head Office- but you can't buy a watch from here...there is no dealer or store on site to buy a watch.
What do others think?

··Ash @ ΩFThe biggest tell's probably going to be the movement given the Calibre 1887 is unique to TAG Heuer and isn't coming out of Asia like 7750s are, if the movement looks completely correct than its safe to say the watch is good.

True, although the cynics might say that Asia is where the 1887 comes from in the first place!
Turns out that the watch is genuine- has been confirmed through checking the reference with TAG Heuer.

I agree! I have this one as well with the steel bracelet.
Although there are a few improvements that could have made this design a bit better; in particular when no light illuminates the metallic details it loses some presence.
IMHO this 3rd (and final) iteration of the 1887 design, lost some of the charm of the indentations found on the 1st & 2nd one.

·Interesting. I don't know what the -4 signifies, but from what I can see, these were introduced sometime in mid- 2013. There are only two recent changes of significance to the Carrera 1887
1. New bracelet design introduced in 2013
2. Change in supply of hairsprings from Nivarox to Seiko/ Atokalpa
The first is unlikely but possible- if they had to change the position of the pin-holes for example, that could explain a new reference
It could be the second (the timing makes sense), or perhaps some other small detail changes that we can't see easily.

The extension on the reference number (-3 or -4) stands for the pack of the movement components. Aesthetically there is no difference, the movement is the same, just the selection of components is different.

·I surely do love these 1887 Carrera models. I certainly had a "ok, that's my next watch" moment after seeing David's post with the blue dial some time back. though i too would love one in each color!
