We do and their posts get deleted by the mods so their post count goes down.

Yep, or we delete their account if they're obviously spewing out crap to increase their post count.

Only if you're blind, obtuse or refuse to read any stickies. I guess the latter refers to 95% of the newbies so that may be a problem.
