Camaro noob needs help!

Hi all,

I am not familiar with the vintage Camaro's but I am interested in purchasing one and have been offered several by a friend for what seems to be a very good price. I was wandering if anyone could tell me anything about either of the two in the images attached.

the 3 register one seems either very rare or not genuine, I cannot find a similar model with the same size difference between the Heuer logo and the Camaro text, I am also yet to find one where the hour markers overlap the face markings in the same way.

any help would be much appreciated!

Hi - the first one (2-register, brown strap) is all right, not the greatest picture but worth looking into further.

The second one (3-register, black strap) is a redial and has a heavily polished case, and should be avoided.

And a re-finished dial...

Fully agree with the above comments. If you are able to obtain/forward the case serial numbers I can check them out for you and see if they at least fall within the correct range? You're welcome to post here or send me a message directly.
Best,
Steve

Dear all,

https://www.vintageheuer.com/products/camaro-30-7743/

What do you all think of this Camaro available for sale? Is it a redial with over-finished case?
Case looks fine to me. You can see what looks like the original brushing and edges nice and sharp. Not sure about the dial but it looks ok to me. As do the hands. Nice original watch imo, albeit not in mint condition.

It's original, but a bit banged-up looking. Nice dial, hands match which is good. Still, I think it's a bit overpriced for a 7743

This particular piece has been listed for months... Quite strange why isn't it sold since camaro is on a roll recently.

OK-so with the Gold Camaro-it's an evident put-together job. There have been a number of these 73345 cases (seemingly legitimate in their own right) around over the last year or two, with or without pushers and crown. The dial/movement (Valjoux 7734) are wrong for the case (Valjoux 7733), the hands are pretty much all wrong. No photo of the movement-I would guess it's unsigned/non-original.
I'd pass personally.
Best,
Steve

Probably because it's fairly overpriced given its condition. This would be a decent buy between US $3000-3500 IMO, and a sure buy at half the asking price.

On closer inspection, the bottom pusher looks a bit chewed up...

I have made an counter offer and yet to receive any reply. I guess they are not hard up for a sale anyway.

Thanks for your advice!
