Think that I read there was a "basic" RWD-only 6 speed manual in some markets. Amazing that there is no double-clutch gearbox- it's a standard auto.

AWD next year, with the option to enable RWD. I still think the front fascia is a let down, but that could be fixed with a body kit.

The M4 looks good...depending on the angle, the rear wheels can look a bit lost, but this has been a problem/ "feature" of 3 series coupes since the beginning. I think I'd prefer the base model with less carbon fibre everywhere and maybe more conventional seats. The sport seats look cool, but not sure what they'd be like to live with everyday

It’s the “sheer driving pleasure” that counts 😉😁

If the front fascia of the Performance kit is painted body color, it's an improvement.

Yes, such a missed opportunity. 👎

Design-wise, it has always been a struggle with BMW M cars since they take a road going car look and pass it off as a sports car, no matter how beefy the engine they put inside. The only true “sports car” they have is the current Z4 which if given the new S58 engine, will probably trump this new M3 & M4 in looks and performance. My 2 cents 😁

Big nostrils, and then slam a license plate onto them.

I like the back; the front will take time. A lot of time.
