As per @Mspeedster excellent suggestion I thought I'd start a thread for my and other forum members artwork. Anything transport or automotive related that has been created by yourself is welcome . Paintings, sketches, cartoons, mixed media.. whatever.. just no AI!

So, some of mine... I haven't painted anything since 2019 but plan to start again at some point!
Back in the day, I used to paint commissions of old ships and fishing trawlers, generally for family of deceased former crew members. My first love though is cars and motorsport.

Unfortunately I lost most photo's of my work due to a failed laptop. Next time I go back to the other house I'll have a search through my folders and see what else I can find.

Just a few to start with...
MGB GT painted in the style of a 1960's cigarette card, always loved the artwork on those.
Next a few ships painted on commission.
Painting of the late Karl Harris commisioned by his friend to raise money for his family. It was an honour to be asked to do this one.
50's racers painted in the style seen in kids Ladybird books of the era.
Semi cartoonish sketch of one of my favourite cars, the Alpine Renault.
Finally for now, acrylic on canvas painting of a Rothmans rally RS1800 Escort.

Hopefully I can find some more to add or paint a few more 🀣

I am a huge fan of the late great Stirling Moss, the 1955 Mille Miglia was his greatest achievement. Imagine averaging close to 100 mph on twisty public roads over the course of 1000 miles with co driver "Jenks" reading pace notes off a "toilet roll" !..
Just remarkable.

The race was legendary, the Mercedes Benz 300 SLR and the driver equally so.

I knocked this quick sketch off last night, something I've intended to do for a while but the thread gave me a push..
I only have a 0.5mm Pentel propelling pencil with me, so thats what I used for the whole thing.
One @Albert-AMG will approve of I think!
