Ridiculous. Presume there are also auction fees to pay on top of that.
I really love mine, but if anyone wants one at this price, drop me a DM 馃榿

26% on top just for the joy of buying through them. Ridiculous.

Somebody paid chf 32.760 for that Monaco at the Phillips auction. Sure it鈥檚 nice but is it that nice?
Crazy prices overall at that auction.
Mine's better than that!

Saw this one and two days later it was sold. Heuer Carrera 3147s Dato Indy 500, or Indianapolis Motor Speedway edition if you prefer. And I really need to win the lottery sooner than later!

Looks like it may be Jason R's. If so it was for sale on IG for some while. I have no doubt it wasn't cheap!

Big fat grail that one. Which auction was this and what did it go for?

Big grail indeed! Was listed on good ole US eBay and offered from a UK seller. Sold for nearly US$40k. I reached out to the seller the morning after it was posted for a better price as I was losing sleep. Jason (you are right again Steve) replied that it wasn't much more than he had paid for it. After it sold he kindly replied again that it went to an Indianapolis native who went to nearly every Indy 500 race as a child. Fair enough then, it went to a worthy fan. I hope of the watch brand too and not just the race

Remember though that Phillips auction results are not indicative of the market.

It goes up and down.
The heuer DB 1163 chronomatic was auctioned in 21 Jun 2017 for 77xxx$ Christies.
Disapointed collector or failed speculation.
Cheers

The other four Heuers auctioned at Christie's didn't fair that well. Only the Hodinkee skipper sold and the price realized seems pretty soft considering they were commanding a much higher premium a few years ago...

Methinks these other three aren鈥檛 that hard to find. So why would anyone voluntarily burden himself with an additional 20% buyer's premium?
