Don't know if besides the Omega Speedmaster, Fortis and Rolex topics, we're allowed another astronaut topic ?
But those were tool watch topics 😁
e.g. https://omegaforums.net/threads/ast...d-not-just-speedmasters-say-it-isnt-so.21667/

Herewith two official 1964 NASA portraits in which Scott Carpenter and Donn Eisele wore rectangular dress watches.
Note Scott Carpenter even wore the tiny watch on a steel mesh Jacoby Bender Champion bracelet!
Any ID on these little gems ?

The golden watch might be Hamilton or Gruen with those dials with color sector changes with a flip of the wrist.

I think we can consider an 18k DeVille chronograph as a dress watch. And then there's the other stuff 😀

A couple of years ago we have identified the little wrist watch which was always worn by surgical aerospace nurse Lieutenant Dolores Dee O'Hara as a little Lady Elgin Diamond women's watch.
This time another reminder of the cute little square "dress" wrist watch often seen on Scott Carpenter's wrist and sometimes a similar square watch worn by Neil Armstrong.
Any ideas what make these little "dress" watches could have been ?

In the topic of battery-powered quartz Omega watches, I pointed out these might become more interesting as we proof that many astronauts & cosmonauts enjoyed these...
Here's "Mercury 7" astronaut Scott Carpenter wearing the 14K Gold Omega Chronometer Constellation quartz wrist watch in 1984 during the first public Mercury 7 astronauts reunion ! The late 1970s Omega advertizing ( as seen in TIME & Playboy magazine ) shows the watch with its box and gives the serial as 40 756 882.

Friends for Life !
Great to see how Russian cosmonaut Alexei Leonov and American astronaut Thomas Stafford became friends for life !
July 1975, during ASTP, a total of 10 Omega Speedmaster chronographs were flown, the three astronauts each wore two 321 versions, the two cosmonauts each wore two 861 versions, with Leonov carrying a third Omega flightmaster in his personal kit. A record-number of 10 Omega Speedmaster at the same time in space, a record that stood until December 1990.
This photo was taken during 2014 Wintergames and shows then Omega CEO Stephen Urquhart with both ASTP commanders Leonov & Stafford.
Note the Gold Omega Constellation MegaQuartz day/date watch gifted to Leonov, which has the number 4 engraved on caseback!

Still on the hunt for more information about these Gold Constellation watches; thus far it looks like Scott Carpenter was the only NASA astronaut to receive one, and about the Gold MegaQuartz, there're might have been 5, one for each ASTP crew member.
