·There was an interesting post from @Archer about quartz movements where he showed one from a fashion brand Diesel. I would imagine an Armani and a Diesel would be sold around the same price point and produced by the same kind of out of house manufacturer.
The Diesel I believe had been sent back to the company for a battery change which they had twice refused to do! 😵💫 Instead sending a discount certificate for a new watch.
The movement inside was an ugly mini quartz unit complete with plastic gears 😲
I think the moral here is buy a fashion watch if you like it, but don´t expect it to be of good quality or to work for too long, also don´t expect to be able to get it fixed when it starts to develop problems shortly down the road. Just like the $5 t-shirt these are disposable fashion items, not built to last, with no after sales support and of course a pretty poor build quality.
