I think it is original but would like to get second opinions from the experts here.

I like it. A little grotty around the edges of the dial, but a nice and original watch.

By in large it looks original, but there is something suspicious about the 2 and 7 numerals. I've never seen the 7 bleed into the subdial on a universal watch, but there isn't a comparable dial in Sala so I'm just guessing. Could be an older refinishing job. the dial is in a crummy condition, so not worth consideration imo

Here's a better one, also with an interrupted 7.

Sorry, I guess I wasn't being clear, but my point was that the numbers are supposed to be interrupted. On the OP watch, the 2 and 7 look filled out. Not saying this is a redial, but it's possible it has been retouched by a second party. It's also possible that it might be a mistake in part of the dial manufacturer

Ah, I see what you mean. For me it's within the range of normal.

Thanks guys, the bleeding at 7 also caught my eye but I think it is just the age 😜. And it seems at right price (just about half the chrono24 after some negotiation). It is the watch featured in hodinkee by Eric last week or so.

for those of us that missed the c24 listing, can you share the final price?

Is the 60's Aerocompax the only known chronograph with odd number dial?

I got mine (the 1941) from ebay, it is the same one in eric wind's hodinkee article. I manage to negotiate the price down a bit using the make an offer. I have no idea about the c24 listing though.

Mbirtch, I think it (the 1960) could probably be the only one with odd number but until only someone comes up with an example that proves otherwise 😜 I actually tried to buy this watch off your listing but some one got to it first and I ended up getting mine from matthew Bain.

Here is a fantastic Aero-Compax for sale: http://www.casowatches.com/store/cm...CATALOG_ID=1&LEVEL=1&CATGROUP_ID=8&STORE_ID=1

I'm saving up for this one, but I wouldn't hate it if it went to someone else in the OF UG family 😀. 8800 euros. Expensive, but ultimately worth it imo
Wow that one is gorgeous! Something about this one though gives me a "redial" feel. Just looks very nice--too nice--for its age. I'm no expert but at that price it would be something I ask from the dealer about!
