·Just wondering as it seems impossible to get one. (And I understand it is blue but it looks green to me). Not the Phillip’s one please.

If you showed off wearing this in public on Instagram, with how much it stands out like a sore thumb and how much attention it’s getting, this watch could genuinely get you assassinated for it.
At the kind of money it’s fetching and with how many there are around it could blend in with after being stolen, there are Italian Job type criminals that could justify targeting you.
Jay Z got it 😉 photo taken from IG
I’m guessing it’s a perk of being a brand ambassador for Tiffany.

Shilling gone one bid too high perhaps?
Thanks for the article. Looks like the gentleman who ended up with this piece was well under the winning bid. Wonder why he was selected as 2nd in line.
“When it became clear that the winning bidder would be unable to complete the original transaction, Lu said, Arnault and Stern set out to identify who among the underbidders had a strong enough buying history to purchase the watch.” Zach Lu has some 60K followers on IG and a pretty serious collection under his belt, so I guess that’s what they were looking at. But it is interesting that they may not have automatically defaulted to the next highest bidder. Or maybe they did and that person, in the clear light of day, thought better of paying over $6m for the watch.
If they did indeed bypass the next highest bidder and opted instead to elect Mr. Lu due to his 60k followers on IG that to me speaks to the larger issues surrounding watch collecting in its current state. At least in the mainstream media that is.
I imagine the second-highest bidder would not be a happy camper if they really wanted it that badly and were passed over because Lu was either bigger on social media or just a squeakier wheel. My guess is maybe they took a pass, but for publicity's sake Tiffany preferred not to admit that Lu got it because the other guy wasn't interested.
