Everything is in the title. My husband Vint is currently very excited about bronze watches. I didn't see much about them on the forum. So.... I thought it would be an interesting thread... wouldn't it? So, have you any interest as well?

I think Clint is lucky to have you and cool you are enjoying the watch thing. My wife would have wrote “my husband is taking an interest to bronze watches please tell him they are no good and a waste of money.” It’s only January I already saved thousands by DIY two bathrooms updates I deserve a damn bronze star and watch. But yes someone created a thread here kinda showing the patina on a bronze oris they have. I was just looking at a bronze diver I found interesting. Haven’t made any moves yet but I’ve seen a few nice bronze or mixed bronze watches I find of internet. Which one are you two thinking of. IMO the oris one in a thread here looks very nice.

Another fan here. There are enough out there to choose a style that appeals and then you just need to keep them long enough and they will take on a patina that is very much that of the wearer.

While the bronze cased watches really aren't my thing there are some great members here posting some fine bronze watches. I have to wonder it it'll end up being a faddish thing and buyers will move away from bronze to the next big thing.

They are cool and very attractive to some people. The way they age is an interesting and personal to the wearer and their skin chemistry.

It possibly will end up being a fad. I bought mine as a very visible reminder of Bronze in my working life so it has quite a different perspective to me than being the latest fad.

As a vintage lover who appreciates age-related wear that turns a watch others might have into a one of a kind, I’m loving me some bronze!

I am just starting to see some slight changes on my Hamilton and I am almost hoping it may change a bit quicker 😀

Don't force it. It is a sign of age and happens at it's own pace. I have a new bronze bracelet and I would like it to age a bit too as it is very obvious, but it is happening and I'll wait.
