Hi there,

Just joined today, after purchasing my first Omega just a few days ago to add to my (admittedly small) collection. I went for the Planet Ocean 600 - model no. 232.30.46.51.01.003.

Absolutely love the watch, it's a thing of beauty. Looking forward to finding my feet around here and getting to know more about Omega!

Welcome.

A good addition to the collection.
Did you get it from a boutique or an authorised dealer

I got from an AD when we were on holiday last week.

I wasn't really looking to buy anything, but was wandering along the shops one day and saw the jeweler's. Having a bit of a thing for all things horological, I couldn't resist having a wee look around. The Seamaster caught my eye, and so I spent the next week mulling it over. Finally pulled the trigger the day before we came home, much to the wife's annoyance - but I can live with that. I'm always in the sh*t, it's only the level that varies!

Thanks Alpha!

Although, being originally from Cornwall I am technically an 'Inabootcomer'! Been up this neck of the woods for the best part of nearly 40 years. Safe to say I class it as home now 😀

This would have been my dream introduction into Omega - I on the other hand started with a bunch of redialed, over polished, damaged junk 🤔
But I digress... you stumbled into a great group if you like the hobby! Excited to see the rest of that small collection 👍

Thanks for all the welcomes guys, seems like a good, friendly place!

@Private_Doberman - Da yw genev metya genes! (I can't speak Cornish, I just googled this )

@SouthernScot - I live about half an hour west of Aberdeen.

@WYO_Watch - here's my collection so far (hope this works, I'm not a whizz when it comes to all things IT)....

From left: an old Seiko Arctura kinetic (needs a new capacitor I think, as it can't save the power for long now); a G Shock GW 3500B Aviator; a Bell & Ross BR 03 94 Rafale limited edition (121/500); a Seiko new 'Black Monster'; and lastly a limited edition G Shock Metal Twisted G (one of a thousand made for the 30th anniversary).

Probably not to everyone's tastes, but the G's served me well, and were tough enough to stand up to getting battered about in my days on the tools. The B&R was my first serious purchase a couple of years ago. Hoping that one day I'll pass the limited editions on to my kids, who might appreciate them as much as I do....
