Alternatively, I considered naming this thread: How to buy a vintage Compur chronograph, install a Medico-Compax dial, and fake a Hermes signature.

Things were going so well until that accent grave.

(Well, not really.)

And in case you had any doubt that it was a fake signature... they added this charming little detail to the caseback:

The faussaire also went a little too thick in the relume job on the minute hand, and a little too thin on the hour hand. Oh, and always remember to resize your subdial hands when transplanting to a smaller dial. Very sloppy.

Such a waste of a beautiful NOS dial and a transitional pusher case. Shame.

Lol "Girth Brooks" is the actor Ben Affleck in a regular SNL sketch. It's totally a goof on Garth Brooks (part of it)

in the above sketch ^^^ he was pitching fake Hermes handbags as "Herman's Handbags" and Herpes Handbags" hahaha

Will this be reported (the fake watch of course, not Girth Brooks)? Would be a shame to see someone spend a fortune on this franken fake.
