An uncommon variant of the IWC caliber 83.

I thought I would share this interesting find: A caliber 83 with a simplified bridge. If I've seen one of these, it's been too long to remember.

Anyone have any literature on it?

I do not recall seeing this bridge design before. Longines did this with some of their movements such as the caliber 12.92.
