I have been on the hunt for a jaws watch for a while. The new remake seems kinda like a gimmick (but still neat). This one is pretty close to an original but in the description it is said like this ….

“Hooper wore an Alsta Superautomatic in the movie Jaws.
Note that this case is not the cushion style case worn in the movie. It was the first style of the case made a few years earlier. However, it has the same dial, same movement, same bezel, and the same bracelet.“


What is a cushion style case ? Trying to determine how big a difference this is for what I want …

It's an oblong shape, not circular. It may be a pretty big difference if you're wanting the Hooper watch. Can you post photos of the two watches side by side?

Edit: The eBay link posted by the OP is broken. Please post photos. Here is the original Jaws watch, AFAIK.

The first is a remake of the original / The second is the vintage for sale model with the “older” case style.

Yes, the one for sale is a standard "skin-diver" style case, which is completely different from the unique and distinctive Jaws watch. It depends what you are personally interested in.

Yes your explanation pointed out the differences. Also on review I recognized the crown has issues as well. I appreciate your response. Moving on….
