Hi im quite new to the vintage UG scene but i've always find these watches very attractive. I'm being offered this particular watch and i was hoping if the experts here can tell me if this is a good buy or not. He told me that the watch is in all original condition and functioning properly. Also people have been telling me to stay away from vintage UG watches since parts are hard to source if something breaks down and there arent a lot of people good at servicing this particular brand. Are there any truth to this? Thanks in advance!

It does look all original, but that case has to have been rechromed. There's no way it could have survived in that pristine a shape given the rather tired appearance of the dial. It would have been a nicer job if he had remembered to rechrome the crown and pushers as well.

It's not a bad watch, but I wouldn't pay a lot for it.

parts are hard to source, but not at all impossible.
