Advice needed on lume stabilization

Hello,

I recently dropped my AP ROO Triple Calendar. As a result of this drop, the lume on the minute hand cracked. Please see the picture below:

Other than the cracked lume, the watch apparently has no damage and works fine. I wanted to have it stabilized, so I contacted several watchmakers here in the US (LA Watchworks in CA, Zimmerman in PA and Gray & Sons in FL) and all of them refused to take care of this and told me to send it over to AP for a service. I would assume that their decision is based on the lack of availability of AP original parts for independent watchmakers and I understand their decision if this is the case. However, I am quite hesitant to send the watch to AP US, since they will most likely replace the handset and I want to keep the watch as original as possible. I am under the impression that any skilled watchmaker should be able to stabilize the luminous material on the hand but I haven’t been able to find one so far.

I am based in Florida but I am willing to ship it within CONUS. I will be traveling to Europe in 2026, so shipping it within the EU to the right watchmaker is an option as well.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Just to mention, that is more than a crack. Some lume has fallen out.

Yep - you can stabilize to keep more from falling out, but it's going to have that gap unless you do a full relume.
