Are there other good TFA apps aside from Google which could work?
Yes! You can use Authy which is made by Sendgrid, and Microsoft Authenticator among others, I use Authy myself as it has a nice interface

Thread bump as a friendly reminder to enable TFA for your OF account.... plus a question.
There was a mention of having an icon or somesuch indicating a member has TFA enabled, is that still planned?

It looks like someone’s account was recently hacked, so here is a bump to remind people to set this up. It’s easy, protects your account, and protects others from potential scams.

It’s under Settings > Security & Login

Late to give a big thank you to the admins for adding this extra security. The best thing I've done in the past few years is move to a commercial grade password manager, TFA and passkeys. Now, if I could just avoid those damn credit card skimmers!!

All good moves, and with this recent upgrade we do now support passkeys on the security page https://omegaforums.net/account/security

Just a quick message to all those who haven't yet added 2 Factor Authorisation - TFA for short.

This is super important to keep not only the community safe, but your money safe from scammers. We are seeing increased accounts being hacked and scammers posing as the legit member to sell a watch.

Remember either us here at OF.net or your bank can help you if you fall foul to a scam.

ADD TFA today!

It's super simple, simply go to your profile, select 'Security and Login' and set up from there. Hell, you can even use your chevy chase (face) to unlock it.

You also get a free 'TFA' badge on your posts! Not much these days is free!
