Hello all,

I have seamaster planet ocean ref. 2210.51.
I want to upgrade the clasp to the adjustable omega clasp but I dont know which one would fit my model omega.
Can anyone send or show me which parts I would need to upgrade the clasp? (clasp and any end link ref numbers)

Thank you in advanced. I appreciate you guys!

One thing I will share from my own experience: if you already have a "half link", then a 3-position adjustment will likely be fine. I have the six-position on my Seamaster Professional and it's kind of overkill.

I will second this advise. I didn’t realize a 3-position option was available when I bought mine. The adjustable clasp is considerably longer and thicker than the original. I wish I’d gone with the 3-position clasp, which is a little smaller. I think it would look more balanced.

I have the 2200.50.00 Planet Ocean purchased in 2011 and I have to open the divers extension to get the watch over my hand.
Is there a way of knowing if fitting one of these micro adjustable clasps would allow me to get the watch on/off without having to use the divers extension? I called into an Omega boutique today but the staff there didn't have a clue what I was talking about which was rather concerning.

Well this Christmas I got an Omega adjustable clasp with divers extension and finally got around to upgrading my Seamaster PO chrono 2210.51

I had a couple of issues however.
When I got the parts in one of the end clasps came with the wrong pin. It was quite strange bc it was significantly larger in length and diameter to the other pins that I ordered. You can see it in the pics below.
So as a temporary fix, I got one of the split pins from an extra pins set and I cut it to size and filed down the end to smoothen up the face and the edges. You can see an uncut pin and cut pin in one of the images.
The fix seemed to work for for now but have inquired about this error to the seller of the parts.

the other issue I had was what to do about the collars found in the center links of the bracelet. So I just took them out completely because it seemed I had to hammer the pin in quite forcefully if I wanted it to go through.. was leaving it out the right decision?

As far as the clasp itself.
It is very aesthetic. It feels like it was made for the watch especially with the chamfers. It feels like the clasp balances the watch both in terms of looks and weight on the wrist.
As for its functionality, it is just top notch. Its very comfortable and its extension ability is very well made and quite useful. I highly recommend as a upgrade for the older model planet oceans.

Edit:

Here is the list of parts used for this mod.

1x 117STZ001159 ADJUSTABLE Steel Clasp C/W Diver Ext
2x 118st1590 GENUINE Omega Seamaster 20mm 1590 Steel Clasp Link
4x 124st3307 Genuine Omega Link Screw
2x 124st0243 GENUINE 16mm Omega Link Pin to fit 20mm Modern Bracelet Links

Those are generally called "tubes"... when I did this (not me personally, heh), my watchmaker decided to keep the tube and force-fit the pin through it.

I don't know that there is necessarily a wrong way.

Thanks for posting the part numbers. I would like to try this, but not sure I want to DIY it, so I would need to find a jeweller capable and willing.

im sure its much more secure using that method.

@LeadFarmer

no problem! Its not that hard to get it done so I think you could definitely do it.
