A warning about messages from "shelbymark01" and "taylorsink01"

They're scammers from Africa (Cameroon) that have been responding to WTB ads. Accounts are now banned.

I recently had PMs from two 0 post 'members' wanting to buy a withdrawn watch. The 0 post was a HUGE red flag and in the case of Shmagoo123 the request to message outside the fora was another. The other username was Kittypie23. I strongly believe they are scammers.

I just posted a wtb add and received a pm from a member I didn't recognize. The member had two whole posts. Needless to say I did not respond. So frustrating out there to sift out the good from the bad. Thanks For the warnings.

Feel free to check out with moderators, sometimes these are noobies excited to buy a watch.

Sometimes, but in this case, I can't see a noob excited to sell, especially, given the selling rules.

True , what I should have said was, "Do not hesitate to contact the mods for any suspicious activity or contacts, you may be saving fellow member heartache and loss."

Good point. Next time I feel a little uncomfortable I'll let someone know just to avoid any other members falling victim to scams. Thanks.
