Helped a friend replace a 2531.80.00 which was stolen.

Found a nice original owner piece on eBay. Zero feedback seller, no sale so I got it off eBay for a good price including a new Omega blue rubber strap and deployant.

Everything was great until they "fixed" the bracelet before sending it to me...😡

Took me a couple hours with no power tools but I think it turned out OK.

Yep, was thinking the same … not good ::facepalm1:: After pics are a lot better.

Yikes, the seller turned it into a blingy Breitling bracelet. Great work getting the brushed portions back to life.

It just looks so wrong polished like that. Nice work fixing it! I have a bracelet I would like to refinish the brushing myself sometime.

Any pics of the process / tools you used? Looks like you salvaged the situation pretty well. I can't believe they polished that poor bracelet!

It looks like you laid it flat the whole time, right? There are some areas near the end of the brushed links that are still a bit polished based on the photos, so to get those you need to flex the bracelet to expose those areas, then brush them.

Not sure what you used as a mask, but Kapton tape is the standard material for that.
