Gotta appreciate the leathercraft aspect of these. The massive lettering of "Universal" on the dial gives me a bit of a poor redial feeling from a vintage standpoint..😂Hoping they adjust that to something more delicate before mass production

Zenith also did their A386 revival in gold for the 50th EP anniversary back in 2019 but I suspect this won't be sold for the low sum of € 19.5k.
CHF135k for a set of 3 watches apparently 🫣

These are beautiful watches, but there are not a regular production release, and the proceeds go towards non profit education, so I think the purpose is just to get press and keep people talking about UG, as they move forward to the relaunch.
As such I think it's effective, and I'm not inclined to pick them apart in comparison to vintage examples.
But I'm not sure I will be able to afford a new UG, based on the ways things seem to be headed.

These are very good looking and it's cool that they have restored 281 movements. Original 36mm size. I really like that.
All solid gold. Maybe a steel version will follow?

I think they are running a good marketing campaign. Trying to establish the brand at the premium segment. Just below "holy trinity". Maybe at the JLC level.

Beautiful - if the stainless steel Nina version is ever ready for a sensible price, I’ll be in the queue and the Dan Henry at the charity shop…

does it mean that the case back is transparent? or just very fine polished metal.
