I've just added a significant one to my collection and thought I'd share a few pictures of what I find a very nice watch.

Some of you may remember a post in early February where the owner of a family piece came here looking for identification and advice:

https://omegaforums.net/threads/help-with-vintage-omega-possibly-1940s-chronograph.142688/

Well when I saw the watch I was smitten, but with it being in the US and as I at that moment was working on a deal for a 33.3, I offered identification help in the thread and put the watch to the back of my mind as one of those that was just impossible...

It was only when the OP returned a few moths later in July to say that he had had it serviced and decided to sell that my interest was again piqued......and this time seriously.....for me this was one I really had to go for....

Anyway a deal was eventually reached with the selling agent and the watch made it's way from the west to the east coast of the US before with the fantastic and gracious help of @BenBagbag (Thanks again Ben 馃憤) it has now a few days ago arrived with me here in NL and is strapped firmly to my wrist 馃榾

The watch reference is CK 2381, an early 1940's two register chrono with a 2 register 27 CHRO movement, basically the follow up to the cal 33.3 and would later be designated as a cal 320.

At just over 37mm with 20mm lugs it is considered a jumbo of the time and it certainly wears a lot larger than the ref CK 2279 which has a just about identical case shape but is 34mm and houses the 3 register 27 CHRO C12 which would of course later become the cal 321.

This one's a keeper that's for sure! 馃榾

You're number 2 馃榾....but like I said to number 1...there's quite a few that would have to leave before this one made it out the door 馃グ

It's a real stunner. Glad I could be part of it's smooth transition to its life in the NL!

What caught me about the watch is that it doesn't need to be hit at an angle to catch the right photo. It's not hiding anything and watch presents fantastic at every angle. No touch up needed.

Congrats again @cristos71!

Damn thats a nice looking dial for a square pusher chronograph, that watch must have been really well cared for. Amazing what a difference a clean crystal and getting rid of a twist-o-flex makes.
