It didn’t work
Bummer. Did they use a thinner spring bar? Or was Nightowls recommendation above too late to the game.

Really sorry to hear it. So strange night owl got it to work. Granted he has a racing vs moonphase but the cases are identical and the SKUs on the bracelets I believe are the same.

If you have a white coat at an omega boutique they can get it to fit with the thinner spring bars. I don't have the part number but they're thinner than the stock bracelet bars. It was a very nice endlink to case fit. I went through my photos and didn't have any shown on wrist.

I'd take your bracelet to a boutique before selling it. Caveat here is still racing with the 9900 movement it's a different case than my 9300, pretty sure anyway

I think the SKU for the blockier racing and moonphase bracelet is the same, meaning pinholes are the same.

… Not sure based on perrybals “they used a thinner springbar ?” Is a typo or if they in fact attempted it…

Called a few more boutiques today. So far none of them are willing to install it with a thinner spring bar even if omega brand. Some type of corporate policy that it has to have the corresponding spring bar that comes with it or they are held liable if the watch comes off and breaks. 3 places have said this to me.

So somewhat of a gamble to walk out with the bracelet and take a stab at it with the right tool. Idk why they have to make it so difficult…

Boom! Even 1.5mm springbar was tight. They were going back and forth between a 1.3 and 1.5 but it was a very solid snug fit

Wow. Beautiful. Could you please share exactly what was done and who was able to achieve this feat?

They just used a 1.5mm straight spring bar. That’s it. Toss the 1.8mm bar that comes with the bracelet. At one point they said they could only get a 1.3mm bar to fit during the test fit but I asked them to try the 1.5mm again on the actual bracelet upon taking delivery and they were able to work it in.

Wow that looks great. Wish I had seen this before I sold my blue Moonphase. I asked the Omega rep about this exact bracelet and he said it wouldn't work on the Moonphase. One of the biggest problems I had with that watch was the bracelet. The sharp edges drove me nuts. The Chronoscope bracelet is so much smoother.

how is the bracelet holding up. My local jeweler tried the 1.5 spring bar and couldn’t fit it. He advised me to not attempt it since the watch can fall off the weaker spring bar.

I finally got mine fitted too. Did it by myself using a spring bar tool. Had to use force.

How is the bracelet holding up with the 1.5 MM spring bar. I fitted mine today by myself. I hope it holds well

Hello All -

With the Super Racing nearly in ADs, I'm also interested in fitting the new tapered bullet bracelet to my 44.25 mm Speedmaster Racing 9900.

Has anyone tried this with the new Super Racing bracelet? It has a different part number than the Chronoscope bracelet.

I’m considering placing an order for the Super Racing bracelet and settling the question one way or another.

Will report back.
