Set out to build this Seamaster after coming across the complete mid case on eBay a while back. Should have stuck to chrono24 and saved a buck, but I’m proud of getting it up and on the wrist.

Not bad, it looks quite nice on the wrist, even though the dial has some patina its even and suits the bezel very well

I’m better at Reddit. Here’s the photos

One thing I can’t find a definitive answer on is why some of the bezels are the acrylic style like most skin divers of the era, while I’ve seen some that are aluminum with inserts like more modern divers. Anybody know the story there?

For this reference, the bezel you have is the only correct one. You’ll find some fake or generic bezels that have been modded on to others examples. For some reason, these had a habit of losing their bezels.
