It is always nice to read about Speedy stories, and this one could turn out to be a keeper (for you..)!

You need to have the watch serviced and cleaned, and also hunt for a period correct bezel....
Take your time with the bezel, they do come up!

But the dial and the hands, these are the things that you need to adress.
A relume would make miracles for this watch!

Enjoy the journey, and come back with more info!

Back from the watchmaker and they got me exactly what I asked for, a 321 that I can daily wear. Relumed, case laser welded and re-lapped, service hands with relume. Since the first owner was a OB, I opted for the pulsations bezel in his honor.

That is one insanely good looking watch. The relume is perfect. Do you mind my asking how much was the relume job?

The result of your restoration is astonishing. It looks great and can be worn with impunity. Enjoy.

Looking at the watch without the bezel, I was struck by what a good looking watch it is in that configuration. I would have been tempted to have kept it without the bezel!
