Hi,

Just wanted to let people know over the next 24-72 hours we're testing some DNS and server changes to try to increase resilience and performance under high load times, if you notice any issues relating to login problems, posting problems or difficulty loading pages please post here or if you can't shoot an email to [email protected]

Thanks
Ash

A gentle reminder of who's in charge.😉

Is this a good time to share with you my thoughts on the 200 post rule or who should be in the dealers section? 🫨

Nothing wrong with thoughts mate, we’re happy to hear them but it takes a decent amount of support both from the community and the mod team to make a change worth implementing.

Just teasing. (Never had a chance to use that emoji before.)

Wouldn't change a thing. Not that I would know how.

Cheers.

I read somewhere that adding a Pocket Watch forum increases resilience and performance under high load times. This should be done immediately after testing some DNS and server changes, apparently.

As an expert in the subject, I concur with your assessment. The sooner the better !

I don’t work in IT either, but the concept made tremendous sense to me, from an engineering perspective.

Well, I'm not an IT expert, but from my previous financial background, it does also make tremendous sense. It will increase both the ads revenue and it will sustain the subscription-based model.

More revenues will mean a more stable and future proof IT infrastructure.

It took the Seiko boys 3 years and 88 pages of watch posts to achieve UN recognition and sovereignty, pocket watch boys better get started lol

It looks like nobody has had any issues so far, how does the site feel performance wise, better worse or the same compared to say a week ago?

I work neither in IT or engineering but I did stay in a Holiday Inn a few times and this makes perfect sense to me.

And WE ALL KNOW the 3 years and 88 pages was just a shaggy dog story hopping the Seiko Guys would give up and shuffle on down the road.

They didn't and you just caved.

Now, getting us PW guys angry can't be good for you or this Forum......just sayin'........

"We Want a PW Forum!!!"

"When do we want it?"

"NOW!!"

Feel free to join in, guys..... and all just take a seat.... we aint leavin' this nice office.....who brought the locks and chains?

seems to load pages slightly faster -- not that it was slow before.
