The new Bond game from IO Interactive (Developers of Hitman, the stealth assassin franchise) dropped its first trailer today at the Sony PlayStation State of Play. I like IOI/Hitman and expect the game to be good, but was surprised to see Omega featured so prominently. There's definitely been a juicy advertising deal agreed.

I'm not sure if all of these are real/current Seamasters? The one Bond picks has a gadget to shoot flames from a motorbike exhaust in it, that feature may not be in the final production watch available to us. 😜

Elsewhere in the trailer, an Aqua Terra bracelet is also seen. I probably wouldn't expect any new releases out of this, but figured it was noteworthy enough for a thread. The model used in engine is extremely detailed. We've come a long way from GoldenEye for the Nintendo 64. 😜

It’s interesting that it’s a Seamaster Chrono Diver rather than the 3-hander this time too, first time Bond has worn one in any media.

They put the scar back on his cheek. It's from the very first books. And he does look more like Nathan Drake than to Daniel "desperate house wife" Craig. Could be good.

Omega is involved, why not after all. And the only time Bond wore a Chrono was in Her Majesty Secret Service. So way back 😀

Just looking at the photos again, it looks a lot like a darker metal titanium case version of the Cal 9900 Seamaster Pro 300M chronograph, similar to this one:

https://www.omegawatches.com/en-au/...-chronometer-chronograph-44-mm-21032445101001

but with a case that looks a bit like the No Time To Die's in titanium with that orange running through the NATO strap and the dial.

The NATO also looks like a single stripe version of this one currently on offer, which is also titanium hardware from the No Time To Die:

Agreed, I thought it looked gunmetal and probably titanium as well. I assumed the pushers being black was a lighting issue or just something else related to being a model in a video game engine, but yeah checked your link and the real SMP chrono pushers are black!

It isn't shown in my screenshots, but elsewhere in the trailer there is a better picture of the strap side of the wrist and you can see the tang buckle is the same lyre lug style one as in your photo there too. The AT bracelet briefly shown in another scene definitely has the brighter appearance of steel so this watch, whether it will be a real life release or not, does seem to be gunmetal.

Do we think Omega would bother to release this as a variant? I don't know how much marketing pull a 007 video game has. For me I'll almost definitely buy this game unless it reviews poorly, IOI's Hitman is one of my favourite single player games and their style matches Bond very well. But Omega being in it or not makes no real difference to me, I wouldn't buy an SMP chrono regardless.

I suppose one notable thing this does indicate is that Amazon are still interested in maintaining the Omega brand deal.

GoldenEye on an N64 > any of the new stuff.
Change my mind...

I STILL play it occasionally. Hah.

I was playing it on Switch just a few weeks ago, it still holds up so well all these years later. Rareware really were the best developers of that era.

Still have a copy too! Hah.
Mario Kart will always be a classic, but I personally loved Diddy Kong Racing - another Rare title.

Omegabondwatches on Instagram did a great job mocking this one up, the chronograph scale being that gold colour from 1 to 7 is a nice subtle touch, I greatly prefer this new approach to the historical way Omega would festoon the dial and hands with 007 logos and barrel designs, its far more elegant and doesn't detract from the watch as an actual watch.

I wonder if they'll release it. It's pretty non-descript, but it looks good. The NATO works really well.

Now that they've put it out there its a matter of time before that exact NATO design ends up on eBay for $20 so they better be quick about it if they're serious about making it, which they're probably due for given that they still have a long wait to the next film.

If Omega does release that Seamaster 300M Diver Chrono, I would get it in an heartbeat with the Nato strap. On a personal note I really don't like Nato straps but for this Seamaster 300M Diver Chrono, I would make an exception as it just looks so nice.

I’m seriously wondering what their plan is, today is 007 day or whatever and they sent out an email with bond watches we could buy.

Someone at the omega boutique told me
To expect something in October but really have no clue as of yet

The October thing is the new PO.
